Painting most of my long life, I express my love for art with oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels for landscape and floral creations. Many paintings depict beautiful National Park scenes and places where my family lived and traveled in North America including Eastern and Western United States. A 4' x 6' award winning acrylic painting of Dante's View at Death Valley, California, has been a very dramatic part of our home decor for many years. Another large scene of Canyon de Chelly in Arizona is a companion favorite.
Studies included classes at the Art Institute of Chicago, Pasadena, California, Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and watercolor and impressionist style workshops with several well known Fort Collins and Denver artists. Paintings have been exhibited both on the West Coast and in local galleries and shows.
Other artistic efforts include painted furniture which was exhibited at the Loveland Sculpture and Art Show. I also enjoyed painting a large garden scene on a fence and tool shed. For several years painted rocks have been sold at a local gift shop.
